MLK Social Justice Plunge

Date: Jan 23, 2016 at 10:30pm to 4:30pm
It is an opportunity to: · Serve in the community · Dialogue about the state of race on our campus and in our community · Explore how to advance justice in the spirit of Dr. King. The day will begin at 10:30am at the Holy Angels gymnasium with conversation followed by a free lunch. In the afternoon, we'll be shuttled in buses donated by RTA for our use to serve at an Urban Ministry Center on Salem Avenue. We should be finished for the day by 4:30pm. There is no cost for this plunge and you can register at https://www.udayton.edu/ministry/csc/plunges.php. We are working to make this a PATH eligible experience. I believe this is a great way to continue the conversation on campus that has become especially significant this past year. Since we return to UD on January 19, only a few days before the plunge, we are encouraging everyone to register now so we can make the appropriate arrangements. I hope you and some friends will be able to be part of this year’s MLK Social Justice Plunge!
