(Message from Entertainment Committee) (We are not a part of the Carnival in the Recplex, we are in Humanties)
Hello friends!
We are Kayla Ogburn, Charlie Klug, and Sarah Gnacek and we are so excited to make up this year's Christmas on Campus' Entertainment Committee! We hope you all are starting to feel some Christmas spirit because there are only 23 days until the day of Christmas on Campus, and we could not be more thrilled! First and foremost, we wanted to apologize for the delay in sending out these room and RecPlex assignments as well as thank you all for your patience with us, eagerness when it comes to reaching out, and attentiveness when trying to follow the gingerbread theme! There was a significant influx of clubs and organizations interested in hosting a room this year and although a great problem to have, it has ultimately led to a delay in communication and providing you all with more information. We as a committee have worked hard to accommodate and puzzle together a reasonable and cohesive assignment layout that we hope will be beneficial for every club and organization.
With that being said, attached is the sheet that will show your organization’s room number for this year’s Christmas on Campus. These room assignments are finalized and cannot be switched around. We tried to meet every accommodation that was requested to the best of our ability SC stands for Science Center, HM stands for Humanities, KL is for Kettering Labs, MH is for Miriam Hall, and KU is for Kennedy Union. Remember that the event is Friday, December 6th from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Please have your activity set up no later than 5:00pm.

Room Reservations: Set-up for rooms will begin at 3:30 pm on December 6th. You may have crafts and wrapped foods (unless your activity is cookie decorating or involves food), but they need to be cleaned up afterwards. We recommend that you find time to do a walk-by of your room before December 6th, so you can plan your activity accordingly. Some rules for rooms are listed below:
NO glitter!
Nothing on the walls that will damage the finish (painters tape/blue tape should work)
If you are painting anything, you MUST bring a drop cloth/tarp to set down.
ALL GROUPS are in charge of cleaning up their area and returning it to normal at the end of the event. For rooms, if furniture is moved, move it back to its original spot.
ALL GROUPS, at 8:00 pm all rooms/tables will begin clean-up, even if the kids are still in there. Please tell them that the event is over and promptly begin. All spaces should be cleaned by 9:00pm.
Please note: If you are doing an activity involving food, please pay attention to the students that are wearing bright green wristbands as this indicates an allergy.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at carnival.coc@gmail.com. If for any reason you have an emergency regarding rooms on the night of COC, please text 937-668-5546 (Kayla), 330-283-0507 (Charlie), and/or 443-823-9565 (Sarah) promptly with your room number and issue.
Thank you all! We appreciate your participation and look forward to seeing you all bring COC to life :) | |
