At Write Night, participants will watch a presentation (over Zoom) from Free Minds members and staff, then use an online whiteboard tool called Miro to read and respond to poetry by our incarcerated writers. After the event, we print out all the responses to the poems and mail them to the poets who are in prison facilities across the country. Write Night is great for groups because we can host a lot of people virtually and we have lots and lots of poems that need responses! All you need is a computer or tablet and an internet connection. If you are using a smartphone, we recommend downloading the Miro mobile app prior to the event. https://freemindsbookclub.org/events/virtual-write-night-oct-27/ Sign up at the above link!
