Like working with kids? Love science experiments? Looking for a long-term volunteer opportunity that counts for APO service requirements? Come learn about the Science Literacy Initiative, a once-a-month after school science program for elementary students in the Burlington community! You'll be helping out with experiments on earthquake testing, oobleck, elephant toothpaste, and so much more! They are looking for enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude from prospective members, so all majors are welcome :). If you cannot attend the meeting but want to learn more, reach out to the program coordinator, Maryann Makosiej, at maryann.makosiej@uvm.edu!
