WHAT: Every year Burlington has a day to vote in the local election, called Town Meeting Day. We get classes off so we can participate in local politics. Send Delaney and Tory a picture of you voting! WHY: Each of us has a civic duty to participate in elections, and voting is also a way we can get what we want to see in the world. Your vote counts more in local elections than national elections, and local politics affect you more directly. REMEMBER: You can add your name until the sign ups are closed (the day of the event), and you can remove your name until the sign ups are locked (the day of the event). If the event is closed or locked and you want to add or remove your name, please contact the SVPs and we will see what we can do!
