Join UPB and the Peace and Justice Center in celebrating Indigenous People's Month. This talk intends to clarify and give a fuller picture of what really occurred and bring attention to the important actions being done in the past and today to keep Indigenous cultures intact in the face of governmental genocide. The role that Two Spirit people played in the past and are emerging to play once more is a response of the erasure of Indigenous culture. We will take a look at the role “well-intentioned" people play in perpetuating racism today and continue to contribute to that genocide and offer some ways one can act as an ally/accomplice" This event is FREE for UVM students. Please contact upb@uvm.edu for questions and accommodations.
