It is the purpose of the online event “AUTISM & INCLUSION: Tips on how to be genuinely inclusive” to provide individuals and organisations with tips on how to deal with people with autism so that they can all grow stronger together and realize great projects. Autism is a congenital pervasive developmental disorder characterised by limitations in the areas of social interaction and (non-)verbal communication and by a limited, repetitive or stereotyped pattern of behaviour. Autism is a very complex disorder that can be divided into several subtypes, such as Asperger Syndrome, classical autism, the Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), etc. During the event, the speaker Manfred Bartel will testify how he first encountered autism, about his experiences with people with autism and how, through volunteer work, he helps students with this disorder to cope with it. After his testimony, there will be a Q&A session during which participants will be able to ask questions. You might have wondered how to genuinely include diverse people in all the projects you undertake, because you know that it's through diversity that we all grow stronger together, accomplish even more than ever thought possible and that we reach shores we never ever dreamt about. It's time for you and your company to easily turn those in practical wonderful achievements for your organizations and yourselves as individuals! Send a reflection before midnight to the group chat that will be made. What did you learn? What can you apply to your life?
