Information Session, University of Wisconsin-Madison Bioscience Graduate Programs Friday, November 15, 1:00-1:50pm, COB 110 Students interested in graduate study across the biological sciences fields are welcome to attend a general information session featuring a representative from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ken Niemeyer will be visiting our campus on behalf of more than 25 “bioscience” graduate programs. He plans on: • Describing the research environment of this Big 10 institution • Explaining the funding and benefits landscape for graduate students in the sciences at UW-Madison • Providing information about the university in general (which includes a population of 9000 graduate students, and students from more than 130 countries and all 50 states) • Explaining UW’s “Science & Medicine Graduate Research Scholars” community, and how to perhaps reduce your application fee if you decide to apply • Providing some specific information about the Pharmaceutical Sciences PhD Program, the program that he works for, where most graduates go on to work in research and development scientific roles in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries Please complete the leadership form within 72 hours of completing the event!
