The University of California is partnering with Reach Higher—an initiative by former First Lady Michelle Obama to advance college opportunity and participate in College Signing Day, May 1, 2019. We will be celebrating 12th-grade students from across the San Joaquin Central Valley for choosing to pursue higher education (CCC, UC, CSU, Private/Independent Institutions) or the military. UC Merced’s Center for Educational Partnerships will provide students in grades 8-12 and community college an opportunity to participate remotely in College Signing Day and an informational fair at UC Merced. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to share with 750-800 students what UC Merced has to offer! The event will include speakers, performers, post-secondary resources, as well as a satellite stream of Mrs. Obama’s keynote address to students.
