Typically celebrated on March 8, International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. This year, International Women’s Day falls during Spring Break but will be observed on March 15 at Bellarmine. Those who identify as female are encouraged to wear RED to raise awareness of International Women’s Day and stand in solidarity with the global women’s movement.
