Mascara brushes for Appalachian Wildlife Refudge

Date: Sep 1, 2017 at 12:00am to Dec 1, 2017 at 12:00am
I never thought cleaning out old makeup drawers could lead to helping our wildlife like this... did you know something as simple as an old mascara wand can help wildlife? Appalachian Wildlife Refuge uses mascara brushes to help remove fly eggs and larva from the fur of animals. They work great because the bristles are so close together. Clean off those old mascara wands in hot soapy water, and turn them into Danielle Belvoix anytime now through December 1st. Maximum credit is one service hour, but feel free to bring in as many as you can for a great cause!
