The volunteer coordinator, Gayle Perry, will be supervising this event. There are a variety of options as far as what a person is to be doing at the event. Depending on the shift you sign up for, the volunteer coordinator will let us know what their needs are at that time. I have listed what you might be doing while volunteering. Any time you can come, is fine, just let me know so I can get you the correct amount of hours. More info such as where to go for your shift/where to find the volunteer coordinator/etc. will be added in later as soon as I know more. Admissions: take money at the admissions table, stamp hands, hand out programs; involves handling money, making change, using credit card machine. Always at least 2 persons at each station. I especially need help here on Saturday – at both the main entrance outside Frazier Hall (which is the busiest) and at the Handicap entrance at the circle outside Wyatt Hall (the un-busiest!) – I could use someone from 10:30 – 7 pm. Ticket Sales: sell food/drink tickets – involves handling money, making change, using credit card machine. Always at least 2 persons at each station. I need someone here from 10:30 am-2:00 pm and 5:00-7:00 pm Hospitality: patrol the fest – pick up trash, clean off vacant tables, etc. This job is very flexible – sometimes we don’t have anyone but I really would like to have a couple of people at a time doing this. Runner/helper: help entertainment area or volunteer station by running errands, etc. or assist vendors if they need a break. This is a new position – don’t know if anyone is interested.
