Volunteer at the UAlbany Out of Darkness Walk

*Please note, you must register for the walk at AFPS.org/UAlbany in advance to obtain community service hours for this event. We are seeking volunteers to assist with set up, on-site registration, day of event activities, and clean up at UAlbany's Out of the Darkness Campus Walk! Please register for this need if you would like to help out! Please note, volunteers are required to attend a training prior to the event. We will be in touch with the date/time of the training closer to the event date. Volunteers will be expected to arrive early (at 10am) and stay after the walk concludes (until 4:00pm), so please plan accordingly. Please also wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Questions? Email ualbanyootd@albany.edu or call 518-442-5800. --- See below for additional details about the event: This year's Out of the Darkness Campus Walk is on Sunday, April 21st starting at 12:00pm at Entry Plaza (on UAlbany's uptown campus). The walk aims to bring awareness and raise funds to assist with suicide prevention, advocacy, and promotion of mental health awareness. There will be tabling and activities prior to the event followed by an opening ceremony and 1.5 mile walk around campus. Individuals and teams are welcome!
