To support survivors of sexual and physical assault donate to the Bear Drive. In recognition of April's Sexual Violence Prevention Month, Albany Medical Center, UAlbany and the community-at-large are collaborating to offer support to those affected by sexual violence. Donated bears will be packed in We Care Bags or "survival kits" for Albany Med's sexual assault forensic examiners program. The kits also contain clothing, toiletries, journals. and gift cards to comfort and assist survivors upon leaving the hospital. It is out mission to ensure that each survivor of sexual assault leaves Albany Med with dignity and the knowledge that they are supported by a community that cares. This year we are in need of 500 bears to fill our We Care Bags. Please donate a new small bear (or any new stuffed animal) of no longer than 10 inches to be placed in the bag by April 1st. I will collect all donations than give them to Kaylin Dawson. 1 bear=1 hour MAX OF 2 HOURS Send proof to aposerviceadh@gmail.com/ contact me to donate
