UAlbany’s Race for Equity 5K celebrates social justice accomplishments and raises awareness about current injustices. Thirty-three “social justice stations” will be set up in Bob Ford Field, each dedicated to memorializing a social justice accomplishment, recognizing civil rights leaders, or raising awareness about a current inequity. Each table will offer educational information about their station topic and a giveaway. “Equity 5K bags,” used to collect giveaways and information, are provided to the first 500 participants to sign-in on the day of the race.
