Albany County Crime Victims and Sexual Violence Center will host a Standing Silent Witness event on the UAlbany campus on 4/5/2022 between 11 am to 1 pm. The event will be a visual demonstration of the silencing of survivors. Participants gather silently for one-hour wearing t-shirts and displaying signs with stories and messages protesting sexual violence and rape culture. The first hour is set up time, students can come and make their own T-shirts/ posters, and the second hour will be the "standing" part. We will provide all the needed supplies as well as pledges for people to sign.
