Hello everyone! GenVote at the University at Albany is looking for videos of students speaking on why we should make Election Day an Academic Holiday. They are looking for video testimonials that are 10-20 seconds long, with a solid background, with students saying why they think election day off is a good idea! Some students have said: “We should have election day off to make it easier for us to vote, rather than having to worry about if I can vote.” “Ualbany should have election day off to show that we value our American Democracy.” “We shouldn’t have to worry about prioritizing a class when our human rights are on the line.” “I was too worried about making it back to class without reliable transportation to vote last year.” “Having no classes gives me time to travel home to vote in person.” Voting should only be made easier, and we would appreciate the help we can get toward the day off! Please email your video in the form of a Google Drive Link to aposerviceadh@gmail.com PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GIVE US EDIT ACCESS TO THE GOOGLE DRIVE LINK!!!! IT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL RECEIVE CREDIT.
