Make a recording of reading a favorite children’s book
Tips for making a good recording
Make sure there is plenty of light in front of you, not behind you.
Be sure to start out by reading the title and author/illustrator
Make sure everyone can see the pictures/words. You can include yourself in the frame, or just a shot of the pages.
Mood is important, create anticipation
Use plenty of expression and change your tone of voice to fit the text
During a suspenseful part, slow down, draw your words out, and bring your listeners to the edge of their seats!
Choose a favorite book from your collection, and send us a video of you reading!
Or, choose one of the titles from The RED Bookshelf's temporary library cards (thank you Albany Public Library!):
Go to this website - https://uhls.overdrive.com/
Sign in with one of these three library card numbers: 1359136; 1359138; 1359139 (the pin for each of them is 1234, if you are asked)
To see the books checked out, click on the icon of books standing up, near where you signed in.
Each of these cards has titles on it, choose one that you like!
You do not need to download the book, it can be read in the browser. If you can show the pictures and words while you are filming, that is excellent!
Make sure you sign out of the account when you are finished, so the next person can access the account, and THANK YOU!
You are almost finished!
Upload file to theredbookshelf.wetransfer.com
ALL UPLOADED CONTENT WILL POTENTIALLY BE USED BY THE RED BOOKSHELF ACROSS ITS INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS, AS WELL AS IN PRINT MEDIA.
You will be asked to confirm your email address, so you will receive a confirmation that your file has been uploaded. You can upload video, pictures, or documents, we will receive whatever format is uploaded.
THANK YOU!!!
1 book = 1 hour max of 3 hours, please send proof of you uploading your recording to aposerviceadh@gmail.com | |
