The University Police will be offering a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) course this November. This is a 12 hour Women's Self-Defense program that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. The course culminates with a dynamic simulation that gives participants the opportunity to use what they have learned in realistic training scenarios against "aggressors" wearing special safety equipment. The course is offered on 3 Mondays (NOV. 4, NOV. 11 AND NOV. 25) and all 3 dates must be attended to receive full training and credit. You must register through caffinito@albany.edu. You are also able to ask any questions through that email about the course.
