Greet our veterans when two honor flights arrive. The first flight at 9:45am and the second flight arrives at 10:20am. Volunteers give our veterans a hero's welcome with applause, hand-shaking, and word of thanks as the veterans get off the flight ans walk to the buses that take them to the memorials in Washington, DC for the day. Plan to stay until all the buses depart. This is a very moving and worthwhile event for our veterans and those who participate. You will leave at 8:10am and take the Metro to the event. Please sign up ASAP so our names can be submitted to the DCA Honor Flight Coordinator.
