Reminder: This is an off-campus event, please be at Sandy Creek 15 minutes before the posted time! The Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program provides equine-assisted activities for children and adults with disabilities, youth-at-risk, recovering military service personnel and their families. Working with the horses can improve the lives of many of these people by helping them with communication, mobility, independence, and interpersonal skills. Volunteers will be working on the grounds in a variety of projects as needed to help upkeep the farm that the horses are kept on. Participant to do: Wear closed toed shoes you don't mind getting dirty and weather-appropriate clothing Chair to do: Send out a message to all participants at least 48 hours in advance, ensure all participants are wearing closed-toe shoes, fill out chair report
