Kupanda Kids is a community of refugee children and local mentors on a mission to support literacy, education, and a better future for families in San Diego. A big focus of Kupanda Kids is helping the children be successful in their education. So I’m very excited to present the first ever APO x Kupanda Kids Read-A-Thon Day! Come enjoy a fun-filled day of reading with various activities sprinkled in throughout the afternoon. You are encouraged to bring your own books or any books that you might want to share and read with some of the kids. Volunteers will: - Help lead and guide groups through different crafts and activities - Assist and or read with the kids during the actual read-a-thon - And most importantly interact and have fun with the kids Alumni and associates are more than welcome to come and participate! I am also looking for around 4-5 additional group leaders to help lead the groups. If you would like to be a leader, an additional 0.25 philanthropy credit will be awarded. So please reach out if this is something you would like to do! *This is an in-person event, so please make sure to give yourself plenty of time to drive over and find parking!* PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT LOCKS AND CLOSES 2 DAYS PRIOR, ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
