Hello everyone! Welcome to Take Back the Night and Help Jaz Pt. II! Take Back the Night is an annual event that takes place on Thursday during Take Back the Week: a week dedicated to honoring the lives of and protecting those affected by domestic and sexual violence. This year Take Back the Night will be an in-person event, and The Andrea O'Donnell Feminist Outreach Association (from the Vibe with Jaz event!) will organize a march around campus with a couple of anti-sexual violence chants for participants. When the march concludes, each participant will return to the Aztec Student Union Goldberg Courtyard to a stage where attendees are free to participate in a brave space open mic that allows them to share their experiences. That said, I'm really counting on everyone to pull through; I need at least 10 volunteers - similar to our last partnered event with F.O.A. you can attend for a 1-hour shift but still receive a full 2 hours for volunteering. I AM NOT CAPPING THIS EVENT, I NEED AS MANY HELPERS/ATTENDEES AS POSSIBLE :') I really appreciate your commitment to making this happen and ensuring voices are heard! Much love ~
