It can be stressful for anyone to learn how to be in this world, and even more if you’re the first in your family to do so. How can we hold on to who we are while adapting to the “culture” of grad school? In this workshop, we explore how our personal and cultural backgrounds influence the way we experience grad school, discuss the stress that comes from adjusting to a new way of life, and learn ways to manage this stress while drawing on our individual strengths. This is a collaboration with San Diego State University Counseling and Psychological Services *To received credit, please email eic@aposdsu.org a picture of you at the event within 78 hours. **Counts as an Workshop credit for the EIC Cord Program
