What is SYSD? SYSD is Spring Youth Service Day! This event is to help contribute to our Spring Youth Service Day. There are variety of different events for SYSD and they are now up on APOON! (: SO to get to the point, we have been graciously working along side RARE Bears for this whole semester to try to get APO to help MAKE the bears that are sent out to children around the world! To receive credit - you will need to STUFF 2 bears and make sure it's between 9-12 OUNCES. We will have a scale to measure it, but SVPs / Philanthropy will make sure it's okay as well! (: SVPs / Philanthropy will be sewing the bears up, but if you know how to sew please let us know!!! (: These bears go AROUND the world!!! If you've ever attended a RARE Bears GIFTING then you would know the process of gifting the bears to children around the world. However, if you've never attended that service event, to sum it up: you get a piece of paper with information of the kid (location, gender, age, likes, interests, etc) and you are suppose to MATCH the bear with the child. It's a really good service event and if you get really into it, finding a bear could take up to 10 minutes sometimes! Keep in mind these kids who are receiving the bears have an type of illness that is unknown to us, but knowing these kids from 0 - 18 years old are suffering with an illness makes it THAT MORE important to creating that PERFECT bear for a child
