You may wondering what exactly Nick and Anthony do as Filmmaking majors. Is it just watching movies? Is it just writing a lot of essays? A lot of nothing at all? Prepare for your pre-conceived notions of what it means to be a film major to be demolished. Nick and Anthony will be showing three of their own films; two documentaries, and one short narrative film. ROADSIDE PICNIC (~ 8 minutes), a documentary centered around the northeastern Singaporean island of Pulau Ubin; WILD GEESE ( ~ 8 minutes), a short narrative film about a tense confrontation between a hardened war correspondent and an unpredictable rebel warlord; ACADEMY (~ 30 minutes), a documentary about the San Diego County Sheriff's Department K9 Academy. There will be a brief Q&A afterwards if anyone cares to hear our pretentious commentary. Watching obscure student films gives you an aura of mystery and sophistication that others find intoxicating.
