They provide personalized empowerment in the form of new/gently used clothing for those in need of their services, victims of domestic violence, natural disasters, and human trafficking as well as unsheltered or unemployed individuals. They know proper clothing helps people maintain a sense of dignity and self-esteem in times of insecurity. Key Responsibilities: Select and sort clothing donations by category, seasonal, size, color, type of clothing Examine items for any defects including holes, stains, or other issues and restock shelves/racks with sorted items Prepare rejected goods for proper disposal Maintain a neat, safe, organized, and clean work environment at all times Clean shoes, purses and accessories. Label clothes, shoes, purses and accessories. Check client’s orders for accuracy Unload deliveries while keeping the stockroom clean and organized Skills & Qualifications: No prior experience needed ​Volunteers should be comfortable making basic judgment calls about item quality and able to follow simple sorting and labeling instructions Attire: Closed-toe shoes are required. Please wear a face mask over your nose and mouth during this volunteer opportunity.
