https://www.myveryownblanket.org/aboutus.html Their mission: "We connect diverse people, community groups, businesses and services through this volunteer opportunity and ministry to our children in foster care. These gifts are comforting and familiar and children can take them from one home to another. Through the loving care of volunteers, we have donated thousands of blankets each year to children in foster care. Each blanket is personalized with the child’s name, a tradition for “My Very Own Blanket” since 1999" Make no sew fleece blankets for foster children. These blankets will go directly to foster children within Worcester County. I will purchase tags from their website that have "this belongs to" spot for the child's name, as well as a "handmaid by" spot for your name. How: Go to walmart or a fabric store and purchase a 1.5 yard length of fleece. Pick whatever pattern you like (avoid war/camo themed). This amount of fabric is under $11. Then, reference the attached file for directions. Once finished, turn in to me at chapter and I will deliver them to the social services agency in Snow Hil.
