Did you know that APO was originally founded as an underground poker club by Frank Reed Horton? When he was a boy scout, Horton fell in love with the game's use of deception and intellect. In 1925 when he originally founded APO (Thee Anonymous Poker Organization) in Lafayette College, the club consisted of 5 original members who met every week and gambled in the library basement after hours. However, Horton once lost an entire year's worth of tuition during one of these games and, in a fit of rage, decided to completely disband the club in order to focus on service, reinventing Thee Anonymous Poker Organization as Alpha Phi Omega. And that is how the APO we all know and love came to be on December 16th, 1925. April Fool's. Bring a dollar and we'll play some 1 cent 2 cent poker.
