APO Brothers! Judy, from the Prarieland Sheler, is trying to find homes for cats that are in a desperate need for one. You all can help out by cleaning up after them and letting people into the cat room in order to play and socialize with them. One or two people can replace water and food for the cats if needed while the another volunteer can stay outside the room outside and talk to potential customers looking to adopt. There is a hall in front of the cat room area with a cabinet, and the key to get in is inside of the right cabinet door. There is also a red book in the cabinet with directions of what to do once inside. Please call Judy as soon as you get to PetSmart at (217) 369-0374. She will be able to answer any questions in terms of where to find the keys and the Prarieland cats. Remember, this event is to specifically help out with trying to find homes for cats from the Prarieland Shelter. So please, interac with customers if they look interested in a kitty! PetSmart is located at 2017 N. Prospect Ave. If there is no driver, take the 100 Yellow North from the Transit Plaza towards Walmart. Get off at Town Center and Prospect and walk a few minutes to get to PetSmart. Please leave a half an hour before if there is no driver. If you have cat allergies, you unfortunately won’t be able to attend. PLEASE make sure that all of the cats’ cages are locked before you leave, and take any trash to the back of the store!
