Lambda Omicron's Unique Service Projects

Autism Run

The Run is our chapter's annual fundraiser for the Autism Society of Pittsburgh. Every fall semester, the brothers of Lambda Omicron run 78 miles relay style from Pittsburgh, PA to the WV state line. As of Fall 2018, our brothers have raised over $500,000 over the history of this event.

KSC (Kids Science Carnival)

The Kids Science Carnival is a project held in the spring semesters and provides a learning experience to kids in the community. Several booths are set up with scientific experiments that allow hands on learning for the children. Previous booths have included paper mache volcanoes, coke & mentos and archaeological digs!

Relay for Life

Every spring semester, Relay for Life comes to West Virginia University. Lambda Omicron participates every year in an effort to raise money for cancer research by playing games and selling food/objects at the WVU Shell Building from 6pm-12am. Each on-site fundraiser varies each year. The date for Relay for Life this year is April 12th, 2019.
