The Polk County Health Department has been invited to attend a 4 hour DSMove"Open Street" event (family/business street picnic) event on Sunday, September 7th on the south side from 12:00-4:00 pm. The event would take place on SW 9th between Watrous and Park Ave. The event is to bring awareness to the SW 9th revitalization project. We're planning to develop an activity that people can participate in – like a dance or a conga line, or a moveable exercise routine...something like that. If you had a team, we'd just have you help us grab people from the crowd to participate and show them how. It would involve movement and physical activity in some way.
